PMI Memphis Holiday Celebration & Annual Business Meeting

Please bring a canned good to support the families in need at the FedExFamilyHouse.

PMI Memphis has proudly partnered with FedExFamilyHouse for over 7 years.

FedExFamilyHouse was founded in December 2010 to provide free, welcoming accommodations for out-of-town Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital patients and their families. Since opening its doors, FedExFamilyHouse has served more than 325,000 family members, from all 50 states and internationally, as a home away from home for families traveling to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital for their child’s treatment. Every family stays free of charge at FedExFamilyHouse, finding a place of comfort and hope steps away from the hospital.

We want to hear from you!

Happy December PMI Memphis Members!

As PMI Memphis seeks to provide ever-improving services, the engagement of volunteers and volunteer board members is always appreciated!  Speaking of that, thank you to Elections Director, Tracy Lawson for taking the nominations and bio, and creating/managing the ballot independently of the current voting Board.  She’ll report results to me for report out to the Board at the close of elections.

Please see all the candidates’ names and bios at the link below. Votes are due by Sunday, December 10th at 5:00 PM CST so we can inform the newly elected Board members in time to introduce them at the December 13th Chapter Meeting.

January Lunch & Learn

Mark your calendars!

Innovation has had two decades of software-centric methodologies. Project success rates are not great. The employee experience is not great. What makes innovation difficult is not software, so this should be no surprise. What makes innovation difficult are people – how we interact, collaborate, and compete with each other. Therefore, a people-centric methodology is not revolutionary. It’s just overdue.

This session explains how small changes to three well-known references is the recipe for a people-centric methodology. These changes raise a team’s discipline and empathy, simplify messy project plans, and convert your organization’s communication traffic jams into a symphony.
