March 28, 2024, Lunch & Learn

Virtual Meeting with Donna Fitzgerald

Mental Models for successful project delivery Donna Fitzgerald will present on how to take action. Where you will fit it and you will take away a tool set to approach problems.

Mental models are a simple way to make complex situations easier to understand. For example, having a mental model that puts all the potential areas of disorder into a spider diagram ensures everyone on the team is on the “same page” from the start. We’ll also cover a variety of techniques that will help keep the project on track such as featuring, reframing the present through the past, and using the Cynefin model to identify problems and to frame acceptable solutions for your stakeholders. We’ll conclude with a technique (the value cube) that improves stakeholder engagement during the project.

In this Lunch & Learn, you’ll learn:

  1. Reframing the present through the past

  2. The Cynefin model to identify problems

Registrants will be sent:

  • A ZOOM meeting link and password

  • Attendees will earn 1 PDU for Power Skills

This Lunch & Learn is free to all PMI Memphis members. Non-members will pay a nominal $5 fee.

The Journey

Hosted by Larry Robinson

A podcast series that tells the stories of Black men in business – the real stories. “The Journey” eschews glamorized tales of microwave success and Instagram-perfect photos. It unspools the ups and downs, twist and turns of the trajectory of these gentlemen. There is no straight or narrow or neat path. That’s not how any of this works!
