Each month, PMI Memphis selects a book that challenges our thinking and sparks meaningful conversation. Our Book Club sessions are held online via Zoom — occasionally in person — and follow a simple 60-minute format of guided discussion, real-world application, and community. No formal presentation, no pressure. Whether you read the full book, skim a few chapters, or simply show up to learn from the conversation, all levels of participation are welcome. Open to PMI members and non-members alike, our Book Club brings together project managers, Agile practitioners, aspiring PMs, and professionals from healthcare, construction, tech, government, and more. It is a relaxed space to gain fresh perspectives, expand your network, and earn 1 PDU per session. Come with questions, come with stories, or just come ready to listen. All are welcome.

We’re excited to invite you to our Q3 Book Club Meeting, where we will dive into “The Pivot Principle” by Dr. Shelley Kemp. This book is a powerful guide on navigating change, making intentional decisions, and leading with purpose.
This interactive session will explore how project and program leaders can apply "The Pivot Principle" to navigate change with intention while continuing to deliver measurable results. Participants will gain insight into recognizing when a pivot is necessary, how to make strategic decisions with confidence, and how to align shifting priorities with both team performance and financial impact.
Through guided discussion and real-world application, attendees will leave with practical strategies to lead effectively in dynamic environments and drive value in their projects and organizations.
This virtual book club event is designed to foster shared learning, thoughtful dialogue, and meaningful connection among project professionals, while strengthening essential leadership and interpersonal skills.
