Erik Henneghan

Erik Henneghan is a proud native Memphian and a passionate community advocate. Erik currently serves as Chief Project Manager for CourtesyPro, LLC, a specialty consulting firm focused on customized project management and strategic marketing. Both professionally and personally, Erik has unselfishly dedicated his time, experience, and contributions to make an impact in the community that raised him. He has served with many community-focused organizations to include: Youth Development chair of Memphis Urban League Young Professionals, a mentor with the Memphis Grizzlies Team program, an alumni of New Memphis Institute’s Embark program, chair of the Shelby County Mayor’s Young Professionals Council, chair of Frayser Community Schools Board of Directors, a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mid-South, and is an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. In the community, Erik’s contributions have not gone unnoticed. He is a Jefferson Award recipient, a national community service award presented by The Commercial Appeal, for efforts in the Memphis’ Frayser community suppling students with free

school supplies and subsequent educational forums. He is the recipient of the Southern University Alumni Federation 40 Under Forty (2019) award, recognizing excelling young alumni who are engaged in sustained local, national, and/or global humanitarian and philanthropic action. In 2020, Erik’s exceptional leadership skills were also acknowledged by Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris, who presented him with a Shelby County Government Proclamation in recognition of his outstanding abilities and service to the community. Erik earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from Southern University and A&M College and also a master’s degree in Leadership Development from Belhaven University. He and his wife, Amanda, and daughter, Ava, enjoy traveling.

is an experienced leader improving business performance through customer focused process improvement. He is proficient in leading complex teams both in nonprofit and fortune 100 corporate environments.  In his extensive experience, he has worked with various U.S. and Global technology solutions while managing the new product or feature launches for technology platforms. In addition, he is capable of leading diverse internal and external cross-functional teams globally.  He is currently working for FedEx in the Digital Access Marketing department.

About Us

The Memphis, Tennessee Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI) was chartered in March of 1999 as a part of Region 14.  Region 14 consists of 19,852 members in South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Jamaica, and Trinidad/Tobago.  There are 24 chapters, ranging in size from 120 (Savannah and Columbus, GA Chapters) to 4864 (Atlanta Chapter).  Since the original charter date, the chapter has rapidly grown to a membership of over 500. Remember, all chapters exist for only one reason, to serve YOU, our members.

Membership

To become a member of the PMI Memphis Chapter, you must first become a member of the Project Management Institute. As you complete the primary PMI membership forms, you will be asked if you wish to join a local chapter; select the Memphis Chapter on the form (Note: there is a $20.00 fee to join the Chapter).
