DeQuanda Smith

DeQuanda T Smith is a 20+ year media sales wizard, who has added directing and executive producing to her robust storyline! She worked as a television sales manager at ABC Local 24/CW 30 for 22 years and also spent time in cable and radio sales. In elevating an extensive collection of brands and media campaigns along the way, DeQuanda began writing her career narrative that would reach much further than her own personal accomplishments. With the satisfaction of enhancing the image and brand of a place that she calls home, in 2018 she created and produced a broadcast television program called “Memphians on the Move”!

With a passion to lead, develop, create and execute, DeQuanda is no stranger to influencing and delivering meaningful outcomes while cultivating overall image atmospheres. Having managed television sales teams for several years, consistently delivering solution-based strategies became the strategy to outperforming the competition and exceeding expectations while intentionally fueling performance motivation. She is a sales innovator. DeQuanda is a graduate of West Memphis High School and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Memphis where she is currently in the Fogelman College of Business as a candidate for the MBA. DeQuanda is also a graduate of Leadership Memphis FT 2009. In 2018, she founded WiB-Women in Business Expo, in celebration of women changing outcomes and leading the way in business and the workforce.

In her current role, DeQuanda serves as Director of Sales at Greater Memphis Chamber with specific attention to memberships and sponsorships. She is very intentional in designing customized opportunities for lasting member impressions. Among her most recent “DSmith Cares” initiatives were coming to the aide of a friend who lost her husband to COVID-19 and was left to care for their 5 daughters. DeQuanda launched, promoted and maintained a GoFundMe that reached many hearts all over the world, including Andrea & Taylor Swift who donated $50,000 to the fund. An entrepreneur at heart, DeQuanda has launched and found success in several business industries including media, real estate, food & beverage, and service. DeQuanda is committed to her faith and trust in God, family, health, happiness and helping others. She is wife to Xzavier and mother to Deyton Olivia.
