Project Management Day at St. Jude

PMI Supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s Inaugural Project Management Day: A Celebration of Community, Leadership, and Empowerment

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital recently held its very first Project Management Day, marking a significant milestone in connecting the project management profession with community empowerment. This event, hosted at the world-renowned research institution in Memphis, proved to be an engaging and enlightening day filled with inspiration, collaboration, and professional insights.

The event saw the joint participation of both PMI Memphis and PMI Global chapters, underlining the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) steadfast commitment to fostering community awareness about the value and impact of project management. The dynamic atmosphere underscored PMI’s dedication to supporting not just industry professionals but also the communities they serve.
Empowering Presentations and Panels
The lineup of speakers was nothing short of impressive. Dr. Edivandro Conforto and Erica Grenfell from PMI Global delivered impactful presentations that energized the audience. Tamara Brown, President of PMI Memphis, also took to the stage to share her vision and experience, further showcasing the chapter’s dedication to fostering growth within the community.

Participants were treated to a diverse and insightful panel discussion featuring an array of project management leaders, such as Reza Chowdhury and Nadeem Malik, who played crucial roles in organizing the event. Each panelist brought their unique perspective, demonstrating the broad applicability and importance of project management in various industries and sectors.

The Heart of the Day: Community and Connection
The event underscored the essential role of project management as a discipline that extends beyond the corporate world. With St. Jude’s reputation for leading groundbreaking research and compassionate care, the collaboration between PMI and the hospital served as a powerful reminder of how project management can amplify the success of meaningful causes.

Many attendees left with a sense of empowerment and inspiration. The exchange of ideas, strategies, and success stories invigorated participants, further bridging the gap between theory and impactful practice.
