John Williams, PMP, SPC John Williams is an accomplished technology leader with over 15 years of experience in Fortune 500 enterprises leading large-scale programs and significant culture shifts through the advocacy and adoption of Lean Agile. Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum, program/project management, continuous improvement, and change management. Recognized for relentless perseverance to solve business challenges, build high-performing global and cross-functional teams, and lead programs within scope and timeframes. Strong communicator effective at aligning the vision, mobilizing teams, capturing consensus, and communicating across senior leadership, stakeholder, business, and IT teams. John recently launched his company, After Hours Agility (AHA), that provides flexible agile coaching and training to enterprises.

| About the Speaker
Joy Toney serves as a Senior Program Consultant for AIM for Change, LLC. Joy’s career successes are mapped over 20+ years professional experience, both people leader and individual contributor roles, in non-profit, consumer services, government contracting, and transportation. Joy enjoys utilizing her skills in process and performance improvement, software development, information security, quality assurance, project management, talent management, organizational change management, and justice/equity/diversity/inclusion awareness. She’s an Associate C|CISO, CISSP, CCA, CBAP, CTFL, CSM, CSPO, ITIL4, GCDL, Prosci Certified Change Practitioner, Security Awareness and Culture Professional, and SHRM Inclusive Workplace Culture credential holder. Joy has served as an advisor to local non-profit boards including Project Management Institute Memphis chapter and the Greater Memphis International Institute of Business Analysis Chapter. Joy holds a MBA with a concentration in Management Information Systems from the University of Memphis and completing her Masters in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governor’s University.

| | Topic: The Art of Servant Leadership in Leading Agile Teams
When trying to accomplish work through others, it is usually less effective to take a ‘do-it-or-else’ or ‘because-I-say-so’ approach. This online event will cover the art of servant leadership in leading agile teams towards producing desired outcomes. It will explore how to influence through trust, confidence, motivation, inspiration, enthusiasm, appreciation, and more while abiding by the 12 Principles of the Agile Manifesto. Attendees will engage in interactive exercises throughout the session.

PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP) Ready in 2024
PMI Memphis is posturing to launch a PMI CP Program Initiative, in partnership with local government, construction industry and military professionals. This multi-faceted initiative will include PMI Global CP and PMI Government Business sponsored informational sessions beginning with an in-person roundtable discussion in March 2024. Planned follow-on in-depth professional development (PD) will prepare PMI Memphis to facilitate and grow the CP Program with our local area partners.
PMI-CP Certification covers the domains of contracts management, stakeholder management, strategy and scope management, and project governance, certifies professionals in the construction and built environment industry.
Value Earners of the PMI-CP have demonstrated skills and knowledge they need to transform the global construction industry and bring large, complex projects to life. Education Requirements None
Experience Requirements 3+ years of experience in the construction/built environment field is required Certification Maintenance Requirements
