Filsun Moussa
Filsun Moussa, a seasoned leader in MedTech Regulatory Affairs, currently serves as the Senior Manager at Medtronic’s Cranial and Spinal Technologies Operating Unit. With 14 years of experience, she specializes in Global Strategy, Regulatory Operations & Program Management, and Data Analytics. Filsun’s expertise lies in effectively navigating global regulatory landscapes to secure successful market access for medical devices. Proficient in data management, visualization, and analytics, she utilizes advanced techniques to drive informed decision-making processes within her organization.

Intersection of project management and nonprofit management:
The presentation will explore the intersection of project management and nonprofit management, emphasizing how essential project management skills from the for-profit sector can be effectively applied to nonprofit initiatives. Additionally, it will address the unique opportunities and challenges associated with managing programs within nonprofit spaces.

Greater Memphis Chamber (GMC) works to scale our workforce ecosystem to meet growing regional demand – connecting over 45k Veteran residents to employers is a priority. The Delta Regional Authority (DRA), workforce grant brings NextOp Veterans, a nationally respected partner, into the Memphis market to work alongside our existing team.  DRA recently invested just under $1 million in workforce development funds to meet skill demands of our thriving industries. PMI Memphis is partnering with GMC and NextOP to provide upskill support and help introduce Veterans from across the country to the Memphis area.  PMI Memphis Director, Military Relations and Ambassador, Construction Professional (PMI-CP) Programs engages with perspective employers and NextOp on plans for a Fly-in this Fall as the next step in their Memphis area expansion. 

PMI-Memphis recently had the privilege of facilitating a mini-training session at the Community Legal Center (CLC), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing legal services to individuals with limited financial resources. The session focused on imparting project management and time management skills to the lawyers, office staff, and interns at CLC. The leadership at CLC was highly engaged and expressed their gratitude for the new skills acquired, which will aid in their professional development. PMI-Memphis remains committed to demonstrating the value of project management skills and their applicability across various industries.

PMI Construction Professional

(PMI-CP)

Ready in 2024

PMI Memphis is posturing to launch a PMI CP Program Initiative, in partnership with local government, construction industry and military professionals. This multi-faceted initiative will include PMI Global CP and PMI Government Business sponsored informational sessions beginning with an in-person roundtable discussion in March 2024. Planned follow-on in-depth professional development (PD) will prepare PMI Memphis to facilitate and grow the CP Program with our local area partners. 

PMI-CP Certification covers the domains of contracts management, stakeholder management, strategy and scope management, and project governance, certifies professionals in the construction and built environment industry.

Value Earners of the PMI-CP have demonstrated skills and knowledge they need to transform the global construction industry and bring large, complex projects to life.

Education Requirements None

Experience Requirements 3+ years of experience in the construction/built environment field is required

Certification Maintenance Requirements

3-year cycle; 30 PDUs per cycle
