Upcoming Meetings

PMI Memphis is proud to feature our corporate sponsors.  They provide many tangible benefits in the realm of community relations.  Its clear Sedgwick takes an active interest in the well-being of PMI Memphis through volunteerism.  A relatively high percentage of our members who are Sedgwick employees willingly volunteer.  They provide leadership within our PMI community to advance project management. This extraordinary effort has built a great reputation for their company.  Sedgwick employees took charge of AGILE during the expansion of our education programs.  They have reinforced our web infrastructure.  This mutual relationship is beneficial to Sedgwick too.  It's likely they will attract many of the more highly qualified candidates to come work for them.

The timing of this article is meant to recognize one of our own. We are pleased to see Sidd Kunche featured in Sedgwick's 2013-2014 Report & Outlook (click here).  Sidd's leadership brought in our new web platform.

To all Sedgwick employees, we are honored to serve with your colleagues.  Thank you for your continuous support!  www.sedgwick.com

Meet Our New VP of Membership
    Lee Cross

     A Message from Lee:

When I moved to Memphis eighteen months ago, I did not have family members or any friends located here.  It was a big risk for me at this stage in my career.  My gut instincts lead me to the PMI Memphis chapter since I have been in the project management profession over the last 15 years.  I wanted to get involved so I volunteered on the special events committee to help plan last year’s Professional Development Day (PDD).  The event was a success and it gave me a chance to meet many other members.  After this event, I knew that I wanted to get more involved with the chapter.

In March of 2014, I was given a chance to join the board as Vice President of Membership due to a vacancy in this position.  In this role, I will be concentrating my efforts in growing and retaining membership.  I will also be looking at ways of providing value added service for our membership such as re-instating the new member orientations.

The PMI Memphis chapter will be celebrating its 15 year anniversary as a chapter and I am very excited to be a part of it.
